Lovely week in Babalu and Puerto Rico!
First time in the Canary Islands - we loved the trip! The weather was not good in the first few days, but there was plenty to do in Puerto Rico. We booked an apartment in Babalu for 7 days. We prebooked a standard room, but to our pleasent surprise we got a Deluxe room, which was located on the ground floor and included a terrace with furniture. The apartment had a TV, a kitchen with a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, kettle and dishes for three. The pool area is cozy and peaceful. Only one pool was heated, though, and it was a deep pool. The water in the pools suitable for children was too cold at this time of year. Babalu has laundry facilities. The washing machine and dryer are on the 5th floor. Cost was EUR 3.50 per was / drying. The staff is nice and happy to help! The location is good. The nearest shopping center is across the road. The shopping center has restaurants, shops and a Hyper Dino grocery store. You can easily get to the center of Puerto Rico by taxi, the price is about EUR 5.00. We used the PideTaxi app to book taxis. Good basic accommodation. Would definitely stay again!

Fabulous cheap and cheerful
Location was good taxi ride to the centre of Peurto Rico or else just across the road is a square with all restaurants and bars so you can decide what your in the mood for each night! Apartments were very clean and big and balcony is lovely looking out on the pool. It’s cheap and cheerful

I would love to see the pool bar and small shop at the front of Babalu reinstated
No breakfast we have been to Babalu many times but really miss the pool bar where breakfasts and tasty snacks
They will have to replace all the steps into the swimming pools as they're very unstable especially for older patrons who need to feel safe entering the pools
